In various industries, production safety has always been a top priority, and explosion is one of the common major disasters in production safety. Knowing how to prevent explosions is an important factor in effectively reducing personal and property losses. The reason why an explosion is seriously harmful depends on the characteristics of its occurrence:

1. Sudden nature. There is no warning before the explosion occurs, and the explosion occurs in an instant, leaving no room for precaution. It often occurs suddenly when people are careless.

2. Destructive. Explosion means a strong chemical reaction, which generally has strong destructive power.

3. Complexity. There are many conditions that can cause explosions. Not only common open flames and electric sparks, but also high-temperature gases, static electricity, and even light energy can cause explosions.

There are many reasons for explosions. Generally speaking, there are three factors:

1. Human factors: Due to negligence or luck, safety hazards that should be dealt with are left behind; improper operation, failure to follow formal operating procedures leads to safety hazards; inadequate personnel management and insufficient rehearsal lead to the expansion of hazards; Safety The system is laxly implemented and operators bring hidden dangers into the factory.

2. Equipment factors: the equipment is in disrepair or is not maintained properly, the insulation coating or sealing system fails, and safety hazards arise in the equipment; the equipment is not operated or stored according to correct management methods, causing safety hazards; the production cost of the equipment is too low and the quality is poor , or the safety system that should exist in the normal design is omitted, resulting in potential safety hazards in the equipment; errors in the area or location of the equipment are used, resulting in potential safety hazards that should not exist in the first place.

3. Environmental factors: On-site facilities and terrain and other factors have changed, ventilation conditions are limited, and the explosion-proof area has increased from Zone 2 to Zone 1 or even Zone 0; because other nearby equipment may exist such as noise, strong light, torches, and toxic Harmful gases and other reasons may cause special reactions or combustibles; due to the influence of climate differences, the same factory equipment may experience unexpected conditions due to dew point, flash point, temperature rise and other factors.

To prevent explosions from happening, you must first understand how explosions occur. Simply divided, there are three conditions for an explosion to occur:

1. Combustible substances, that is, explosive substances, can undergo strong chemical reactions with other substances (commonly oxygen) to release a large amount of energy, generate high temperatures, and release a large amount of gas.

2. Combustion-supporting substance is commonly used as oxygen in daily production and life.

3. There is an ignition source that is sufficient to ignite combustibles, such as open flame, sparks, electricity, high temperature, light energy, etc.

As long as one of these three conditions can be controlled, the explosion can be suppressed.

The expo pressurization pressure purge device is a set of explosion-proof equipment. Its explosion-proof principle is to first use compressed air to purge and ventilate the cavity. After sufficient gas replacement, ensure that there is no explosive gas inside the cavity; close the exhaust port , and at the same time, a small amount of air is added to the inside of the cavity to make the internal pressure of the cavity higher than the external pressure throughout the process, ensuring that explosive gases that may exist outside cannot enter the cavity, and explosion prevention is carried out by isolating combustible materials. If the purge gas used is an inert gas, it can also isolate the combustion aids in the three elements of explosion at the same time, making the explosion-proof equipment safer.
